Privacy, in plain language

Written to be read, because our whole pitch is that we're not the other guys.

  • We never sell, rent or share your contact details. Not to other facilities, not to marketers, not to "partners." This is the one that matters and it is not qualified anywhere.
  • Browsing needs no account. No sign-in to read anything, no tracking cookies, no ad-tech pixels, and nothing here that follows you around other websites.
  • Nobody calls you — and nobody is sold your details. There is no call center behind this site. If you send an inquiry it names one community and comes to us: no other facility, no lead list and no "advisor" is told that you wrote or who you asked about. Your message never becomes a lead, and we use your contact details only to answer you. We keep what you wrote, and nobody outside this site sees it.
  • Your notes and shortlists are yours. What you save, answer or add up stays on your device unless you deliberately share it or sign in to keep it. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser.
  • A link you share carries what you put in it. Narrow a list, sort it by distance from a ZIP code, save a shortlist — the link holds those choices so you can text it to your sister and she sees what you see. That is the point of it. If you would rather not share a detail, take it off before you send the link.
  • We're an ordinary website, run carefully. Like every site, ours and our hosting provider's systems record the usual technical information — the pages requested, the approximate location, the kind of browser — and we use it to see which pages actually help. We use Cloudflare for hosting and for counting pageviews. We don't feed any of it to an ad network.
  • Questions, or want something deleted? We will delete anything you sent us, and we do not sell or share it in the meantime. Being straight about how to reach us: there is no contact form on this site yet, and the message box on any community page is the only thing here that reaches us — which is exactly what it does, as that page now says. Use it and say what you want removed.
