What does this cost?

For the Eugene area, the published median for assisted living is $7,690 a month — 12% above the Oregon median of $6,875 (CareScout (Genworth) Cost of Care Survey, 2025). Alongside it: nursing care in a semi-private room $18,280 a month; in-home care $7,436 a month. This is the figure for the region, not for any community on this page. For memory care specifically, no survey publishes a private-pay figure — no national survey publishes memory care as its own category, so every figure you will find is an estimate built from someone's own sample. Published national estimates for 2025–26 run from about $6,690 to $8,019 a month, a spread of nearly a fifth, and at least one widely-repeated number is credited to a survey that does not measure it. What Oregon does publish is what Medicaid pays for an endorsed memory-care unit: $6,480 a month, effective July 1, 2026 (Oregon ODHS), plus $773 room and board from the resident's own income. That is the state's rate, not a private-pay quote — but it is a real, current, checkable number, which is more than the market figures can offer.

No directory can honestly quote you a price for a specific community. Operators don't publish their rates, and the rates change without notice — so a per-community number on a site like this one is either out of date or bait to get your phone number. The only current price is the one the community gives you. Medicaid can cover care in communities marked “Accepts Medicaid” if the person qualifies; the state portal and the community itself can confirm current rates.
